Dear Friends, The last weeks I am following with more and more unrest in my body the foto's and stories of different friends of me who have become active in helping refugees at the borders with Serbia at Röske and Tovarnik (at both border crossing I had over the years my own experiences with refugees... via Röske we brought Roma families back home and in Tovarnik I was with a Konvoi of Serbian refugees out of the Pakrac area after operation Flash (Bljesak)) and are having I small battle with myself not to cancel every all cooking actions and go there myself ..... (with a kitchen). To be honest some how it feels a bit strange to stand in Bremen and cook for a car-free-town action and read/see how good friends are in west-slavonia trying to bring a bit relieve in the chaos there. Even when we had as so often this year Syrian refugees as volunteers in our kitchen and collected support for small iniativs of refugees.... somehow my blood is thicker as water.... seeing them all there those with whom I worked together in the past, be as shorter or longer ago.... But one of those actions in the coming weeks is cooking against TTIP and somehow that is also kind of important and hopefully many many people.... (10.10 int. STOP TIPP demos). I really do not know how this all continue but to those who are down there or driving/drove there I am more than with you in my thoughts... And lets hope it is over soon and that the bigger international institutions understand that there are ways to handle refugees with more respect and giving them a better idea what we met with a welcoming and social culture...
